Layne auto-syncs your audition history from Gmail and the casting sites you use, so the log builds itself and you never have to type an audition in. Connect once and each new notice arrives already filled in: project, casting office, dates, rate and status. Layne also sweeps your existing inbox back to 2023, and on Actors Access it can import your archived history back to 2019, so you start with your past rather than only with today.
Can an app pull my auditions from my email?
Yes. Layne connects to Gmail with read-only access and pulls your auditions out of the casting-site emails and your reps' emails automatically. Read-only is literal: the only Gmail permission Layne asks Google for is gmail.readonly, so it can never send, delete or change anything in your inbox. The same Google screen also asks for calendar access, because Layne puts your audition deadlines on your calendar; that one does write, and only to events Layne creates.
